NEC V-A600 (Sony AC-F1) Operating Instructions

This foldout manual is the NEC version of the Sony AC-F1 infrared remote control for the NEC P6 rebadged Sony FL-F1 portable Betamax recorder. Like other NEC P6 manuals, it is a slightly edited version of the original Sony manual. Click photos for full size

This thin flip-through manual covers how to use the combination AC adaptor and battery charger for NP1-style batteries.

Showing the slots and controls and how to connect it to the wall and deck.

The left panel shows how to charge a battery. The right details charging batteries with a video deck - if there is a battery in the charger, the power output to the video deck is cut, so you can't run the deck or charge a battery in the deck at the same time. If the V-A600 or AC-F1 is empty, a battery in the deck can be charged - if the deck is turned on while plugged in with a battery installed, the battery stops charging, but the deck operates fine from the power supply. Basically, you can only power one of either (1) the battery in the charger (2) the battery in the deck or (3) the deck's normal operation.

Some care instructions, and recommendations on conditions and where not to use the deck.
