Catalogue from early-mid 1976 showing the Bandai Mini Mini Rail range including the recently introduced Action Series vehicles. Click photos for full size
Mini Mini Rail for You... the cover shows the Action Series Hikari with silvery paintjob as well as lots of the older grey rail track.
The left page talks about Mini Mini Rail's small size but high amount of detail and how it runs on two N batteries (at the time). The right page has two D-51 train packs which have no action reversing mechanism.
New trains numbered from 851 all had reversing mechanisms. Some of these stock images are not quite fully representative - the EF65 locomotives appear to be on unpowered chassis with front couplings installed, and the Hikari is white like the set variant while the individual Action Series release was silver like shown on the cover.
Track packs, straights and curves and points and double track rail. All of this is the original all-grey rail.
Specialized track, crossovers and sort straight rails and reversers and stoppers... the hill pieces are somewhat uncommon but can be clipped together to fit the double rail standard.
Accessories, a bigger tunnel that was later replaced with a smaller plastic one, a bridge, stations, bridge girders, and an accessory selection. The stations were sized to fit between the parallel track standard and the platforms can clip together.
A neat office building - I'd kind of like to find one - more stations and a double railroad crossing. The next page shows the track selection (and a legend for the following layouts) with a diagram of straight track relationships.
Three suggested layouts, two rather big but certainly impressive as well as a smaller reversing point to point siding layout that could be built into something larger.
I think this is more or less the range of trains and accessories at the time... There are no actual sets covered in this catalogue. It is dated May 1976.
