The Plateau Station (こうげんの駅) was first released in 1975. It depicts a station with a raised platform and has a ringing bell in the roof that can be rung by spinning the handle on top.
The station was given the number 37 under the late 70s numbering scheme and then J-24 in the late 80s. The example shown here is the later style with solid windows and four different stickers - earlier production examples have only the woman at the shop window, with the other three area being open arches like the side windows. The roof is removable and holds the bell and striking mechanism - the stem on mine is broken and does not hold the bell in the correct position.
The Plateau Station went out of production in 1992 when Japanese Plarail production was being wound down. J-24 became the Action Airport in 1992 until around 1996 before becoming the J-24 Station Building panel station around 1998.
