The front of the 1993 catalog shows one of Tomy's big promotional layouts with a large stack of tracks to show the stacking capabilities of the series and the Doll Play 300 series promoting the smaller of the two Doll Play sets.

New releases this year include the Doll Play range and Henry from the Thomas the Tank Engine series with plenty of classic Plarail models still in the range.

Long-standing accessories from the 70s and 80s continued to be on sale along with some more advanced later 80s accessories like the horn rail and talking station.

Most of the rails available at this time were older, with many tracks still being manufactured in Japan. Older styles of slope rail and bridge girder as well as older third radius curves and odd-length J-10 Joint Rails were available, with the Automatic Turnout from 1990 being the most recent new addition. The remote-control switches continued to be available as well as an updated version of the remote control Super Hikari set, now with a real 300 series instead. The Overpass Nozomi set with video is featured as is the hard to find Henry set from the Thomas series, its only appearance in a catalog.

The back of the catalog again shows the early wave of Doll Play series products. Unlike some previous catalogs, there are no suggested layouts and very little "fluff" about Plarail.
