Kyushu Shinkansen 800 Series Tsubame Set (2004)

As part of a boom in new sets based closely around specific trains and regions in the 2000s, Tomy released the Kyushu Shinkansen 800 Series Tsubame Set (九州新幹線800系つばめセット) in March 2004 when the first section of the new Kyushu Shinkansen opened. The bottom of the box says of the Kyushu Shinkansen: The Kyushu Shinkansen has already opened between Shin-Yatsushiro and Kagoshima-Chuo. One of the train's features is its elegant interior that incorporates Japanese tradition and is designed to create a relaxing atmosphere, with seats arranged in two rows and each seat having its own armrest. Furthermore, passengers can transfer to the "Relay Tsubame" at Shin-Yatsushio Station simply by moving to the next train on the same platform, a measure designed to reduce the burden and stress on passengers.
The box describes this as an "entry" or "starter" set - This is the perfect set for anyone just starting out with Plarail!

The 800 series Shinkansen was new for the Kyushu line. The front of the box says of the 800 series: This is JR Kyushu's first Shinkansen. The train is based on the 700 series, but is much more powerful than other Shinkansen trains in order to run on routes with many inclines. The side of the train has many nice details and small text.
The 800 series was not released individually or in another form until before the trains began to be painted in a slightly different design with loops and curves to the car's stripe before the rest of the line opened in 2011, with two versions of a "Let's Connect a Lot" 6-car set, an update to the "new mechanism," and an individual release of the new style of train as S-22 800 Series Shinkansen Tsubame in June 2021.
The set includes a panel station made up of the latest tooling of stop rail base, two blue window sections, and a roof with red Kagoshima-Chuo Station sign.
The tree nice palm trees are also using an old tooling from the 1980s have green bases.
A neat station and a new train... obviously it is an "entry" set, but it has some nice components.
