Plarail Rosie (2007)

Rosie is a pink tank engine introduced in the later live-action model Thomas the Tank Engine television series. Tomy released a motorized Rosie as part of their Plarail and Motor Road & Rail ranges beginning in 2007.

In early 2007 Rosie was released in Europe in blue Thomas Motor Road & Rail packaging, also appearing in the 2008 U.K. Tomy TrackMaster range.

T-31 Plarail Rosie (2007)

Rosie was released as T-31 プラレールロージー) T-31 Plarail Rosie in T series packaging with the updated Takara Tomy branding on June 22, 2007.

The three-pack release included Rosie with two faceless grey trucks with balloon loads.

The promotional photos were taken with green trucks instead of grey, which were included in the original HiT Toy Company TrackMaster releases.

The balloon loads were produced in a few different combinations of plastic colors that cycled which parts were red, yellow, blue, or green.

Tomy never sold Rosie in the United States.

This Rosie was produced in June 2008. There is an additional plastic support on the right side of the Thomas-type gearbox which was carried forwards to the TrackMaster versions later, but I'm not sure why it is here and I don't believe it is necessary...

The three-pack was rereleased in Japan in 2012 with new CGI-style packaging. In the later CGI television series Rosie was changed to a darker, more purpley-pink color and a new Plarail three pack was released in 2018 to depict the change. This release comes with two empty CGI-face red trucks.
