Plaroad Bulgy Basic Set (2004)

The Plaroad Bulgy Basic Set (プラロード バルジーベーシックセット) is a Plaroad set released as part of the Thomas Plarail series of toys in July 2004. This set included the new green version of Bulgy and a small selection of the new lighter grey Plaroad road. The Motor Tomica system was reworked as Plaroad for 2004 so several of the Thomas vehicles were rereleased, with Bulgy getting a new color and design to match his later television show appearances.

In 2004 the Japanese Motor Tomica Bulgy was replaced with the new green Plaroad Bulgy, depicting Bulgy in his refreshed green grocery stand look.
The road in this set is the new-for-2004 lighter grey Plaroad road. A figure-eight of road with a four-way intersection is included.
Like some other early 2000s Thomas Plarail sets, there is a nice number of brown-based trees in this set. It also very easily accommodates another one of the other Plaroad vehicles that were (re)introduced in 2004.
