In 1991 Tomy published the first U.K. Tomytrain "Train Spotters Guide" catalogue. 1992 and 1993 catalogues would also be called Train Spotters Guides. These catalogues can be seen on this webpage.
This was the last year of the original TOMYTRAIN styling in Europe, with packaging moving to the TOMY TRAIN style with curvy Tomy logo and stencil-style "TRAIN".
The huge Tomytrain 4 set was new for 1990 (in Europe only), as was the redesigned Tomytrain 3 with log loader.
I'll leave finding all ten differences as an exercise for the reader.
I feel like there could have been a way to integrate the wheels into the dot-to-dot, but that may have made it too hard for the original intended audience for this catalogue.
One thing you may have not noticed yet is that all of the promo photos after the first few pages with the sets (shown on a very dark background) don't actually show any of the 1991 accessories nor the Intercity train - it seems like these blue and yellow-background photos were first shot for circa 1990 American promo material with the new car carriers, livestock cars, and Inter-City Station.
Engine and carriage packs and the very cool crane.
Several new for 1991 accessories like the very, very cool 1323 Freight Station and Depot Accessory Set.
The rear cover shows the "Tomy Transport World" playmet with the somewhat funny looking Tomy Train people and animals on it. This offer continued to be available through 1993.
