Plarail Dennis (2006)

Dennis is a lazy diesel engine who appears in a single episode of the Thomas & Friends television show during the marketing and character boom in the mid-late 2000s. Tomy released him for their Thomas the Tank Engine Plarail and export ranges in 2006.

T-27 Plarail Dennis (2006)

Dennis was released as T-25 プラレールデニス T-27 Plarail Dennis in T series packaging with two faceless trucks with orange roofing tile loads on September 21, 2006.

Dennis had a unique siderod tooling and has the same wheel tooling as Neville. Unfortunately, my boxed example is missing the roof tile loads.

Dennis uses the flat-type drive unit with some additional weights encased in the rear. The CE and do not dispose marks were present in the tooling from the beginning, as seen here on this early August 2006 example.

4923 Dennis (Motor Road & Rail (U.K.)/Motorized Road & Rail (U.S.)) (2006)

In 2006 Dennis was exported to Europe in blue Thomas Motor Road & Rail packaging and to the United States in Toys R Us three-pack Motorized Road & Rail packaging with the two faceless trucks with roofing tile loads. Dennis also appeared in the 2008 U.K. Tomy TrackMaster range.

Beginning in 2006 Dennis was sold in the United States with two half straight rails.
