Duncan is a narrow-gauge tank engine on the Skarloey Railway in the Railway Series books and Thomas the Tank Engine television series who rides roughly. Despite first appearing in the television show in the 1990s, Tomy did not produce the narrow gauge characters until the mid 2000s.
Duncan was released as T-32 プラレールダンカン T-32 Plarail Duncan in T series packaging with the updated Takara Tomy branding on June 22, 2007.
Duncan includes two slate cars, a new tooling, with slate loads. The trucks have the same internal dimensions as the Troublesome Trucks so the cargo works with other trucks and cargo.
Duncan uses the Thomas-type gearbox, which makes his cab rather elongated. His boiler is fairly nicely sized because it only holds the battery, but he looks a bit strange overall. His side rods are articulated and there is a nice nice of stickers. The slate trucks and loads are also very nice and fitting for the Skarloey Railroad.
In 2007 Duncan was exported to Europe in blue Thomas Motor Road & Rail packaging, also appearing in the 2008 U.K. Tomy TrackMaster range. Tomy-produced Duncans were never sold in the United States.
