Percy with Fun Action Freight Car Set (2010)

In December 2009 the first of several Thomas-series Plarail train packs using recolors of older Plarail rolling stock was released as the Percy with Fun Action Freight Car Set (パーシーとたのしいアクション貨車セット). This set reintroduced the three circus animal cars from the late 1990s-early 2000s Fun Circus Train, also previously used in the Tomica World Animal Express.

Percy in this pack is a standard Percy. The last Thomas-series train pack, 2007's Percy and Pounding Wagons Set, also included a standard Percy, and the fairly similar Percy and Circus Wagons Set from December 2010 also included Percy (albeit with some variant stickers)... it seems like a lot of Percys in train packs, but at least after this pack the other circusy-style train packs included variants of the character featured.

Recolored from the Fun Circus Train is this monkey that beats its chest as the rear wheels of the car are turned and an elephant car whose trunk moves up and down.

This "clown car" cattle van was also included in the Percy and Circus Wagons Set a year later. A recolored version of the pecking birds also used in the Fun Circus Train is included, with the birds now pecking at the keys of some kind of keyboard or piano, which is a neat addition. With the exception of the circus cattle van which actually fits very well, I don't think the other recolored cars really match anything seen in the Thomas show or books.
