First written April 19, 2025

First released as a Plarail and B/O Tomica accessory in Japan in 1996, the Elsbridge Station Crossing was also released individually for the Tomica World range in 1999 and included in multiple export sets.

J-26 Thomas the Tank Engine Fun Scene Set (1998)

On October 14, 1998 the Thomas the Tank Engine Fun Scene Set (かんしゃトーマス ゆかいな情景セット) was released for the Thomas Plarail series of train toys. This was released like a regular Plarail accessory as J-26.

The original Japanese release includes three half-straight track stopper sections with animated scenes activated by the running wheels of a stopped train. The windmill spins around, Terence moves side to side, and Harold's rotor spins. The Terence was later included in the Thomas and Busy Freight Cars Set and the Harold was used in the Thomas and Terence Loading and Unloading Set.

Harold & Windmill Action Scenery (2003)

In 2003 for the European Motor Road & Rail range the scene set was released as the Harold and Windmill Action Scenery set without the Terence section.

These releases are very similar to their earlier Japanese counterparts.

Snowy Windmill variants (2003)

In 2003 two different snowy versions of the windmill were produced, one with a white base for the Japanese Thomas the Tank Engine Snow Shoveling Set and another with a brown base for the American and Australian Thomas Holiday Set. The tree and fence are not included with these versions.
