In 1997 Tomy established October 14th as Plarail Day and released special products to commemorate the occasion in the late 1990s and 2000s. The Plarail Fan Club was started in 1998 and special trains were given away to members on Plarail Day as well. The last Plarail Day special release came in 2005. All of the standard release Plarail Day trains can be seen in the Plarail Museum.
