Tomica Hypercity
In later 2010 Tomy began to sell Plarail, Tomica, and "Hyper Series" trains and cars in sets and individually in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The range featured Tomica Town buildings and road and Tomica diecast cars as well as traditional and Hyper Guardian Plarail vehicles and PlaKid figures (renamed Tomikids) and a Tomica Hypercity Rescue subtheme. The range did not sell very well, seemingly in part due to the odd vehicles, often ending up in discount stores. I remember seeing toys in this range for sale exactly three times when it was current, always at discount stores.

Cars
Individual and multi-pack diecast cars, sometimes with Tomikids, were sold. The lack of American car brands and the unfamiliarity American children had with Japanese cars was part of why the series did not sell well in the United States.
