My Plarail collection

Stylized Plarail logo used in the 1980s

Plarail is a Japanese toy train system first released in 1959. The Plarail range includes a wide variety of track and trains, accessories, cars, licensed character toys, and exported sets. The range is very popular as both a childhood toy and an inexpensive model railway substitute. Chronicled here are many of the Plarail sets, accessories, and trains that I own.
